Kenny & the Sunshine Girls was born from a love of beautiful hair, creativity and making people feel good. Owner Poppy Liu set out to create a salon that feels welcoming, relaxed and inspiring a place where every client can unwind while receiving exceptional hair services. Years later, that vision remains the same, personalized service, expert craftmanship and a genuine passion for helping every client leave with confidence.
The Story Behind Kenny 🐦✨
Every salon has a story, and ours starts with Kenny. Our much loved feathered friend who was part of our family for 12 wonderful years. Kenny had a big personality, a cheeky attitude and, somehow, became just as much a part of the salon as the girls themselves. He sadly passed away, but his name lives on in Kenny & The Sunshine Girls.
And yes… there were actually people who would call the salon asking, “Is Kenny available to do my hair?” completely unaware that Kenny was, in fact, a bird! 😂 He may not have been much help with the scissors, but he certainly knew how to keep us entertained and was always there for a chat (usually on his terms).
So while Kenny may no longer be sitting in the salon with us, he will always be a very special part of our story — and the reason behind our name. 💛🐦
